BUZZZZZ the alarm clock goes off and I’m staring up at my bedroom ceiling.
It was all a dream. A dream that ended one step away from tasting those delicious berries. Don’t you just hate it when a good dream is cut short?
That was when I decided I would depart on a mini-vacation. There would be no passport, packing or destination required for this trip. I would bring the tropics to me. And of course the berries.
Tropical Kiwi Banana Berry Bliss is packed with island food and fun. Kiwi, banana, mixed berries and coconut all whipped up into a smooth, creamy, refreshing smoothie.
Tropical Kiwi Banana Berry Bliss
- 3 kiwi
- 10 frozen 1 inch banana chunks
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup mixed berries
- Peel and chop kiwi into medium-sized pieces
- Measure all ingredients and place into blender (milk being the first ingredient added)
- Blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth and creamy
- Top with frozen berries to garnish (optional)
After the first sip, I was instantly carried back to the tropics. I could taste the island fruit with fresh kiwi, banana and mixed berries. For a moment, I almost felt the warm breeze again…
