I love this smoothie. It feels like I’m indulging in a creamy, silky, melt in your mouth chocolate dream. Dessert for breakfast or anytime of the day! The best part is that it’s a nutrition power house. It’s also super simple to make.
The Raw cacao chocolate-banana smoothie is full of yum and healthy ingredients including hemp protein powder, raw cacao, chia seeds and fresh fruit.
Raw Cacao Chocolate-Banana Smoothie
The Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp hemp protein powder
- 2 tsp raw cacao powder
- 1/2 banana
- 5 ice cubes (more if you like a thicker consistency)
- 1/4 tsp chia seeds
- 1 cup enriched vanilla rice milk (or milk alternative of choice)
The steps :
- Measure ingredients
- Place all ingredients into blender
- Process on high for 1 minute
- Enjoy!
One serving provides 16g of complete protein, 40% iron (based on 2000 calorie diet) as well as, antioxidants, omega 3, dietary fiber, magnesium and calcium.
I like to think of this smoothie as my dessert in a cup! with no guilt! I hope you enjoy.

What is hemp protein powder? Can the smoothie be made without it?

Hi there! The hemp protein powder can certainly be left out! You could also replace with any protein powder of choice. Hemp protein powder is the type that I normally use as it is dairy free and soy free plus mild tasting to me 😊. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy! Have a wonderful day.
